Nissanka Senadhipathi, a figure long entangled in serious criminal allegations, has once again drawn public attention following his appearance before the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption.
Two significant financial dealings have come to light during the course of ongoing investigations. One involves a deposit made by Senadhipathi to the Siriliya Foundation, a charitable organisation associated with former First Lady Shiranthi Rajapaksa. The foundation has faced scrutiny in the past over its funding and operational transparency.
Senadhipathi is also reported to have made a payment of Rs. 1.3 million per month to the daughter of former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella. The nature and justification for this payment are now under further examination by relevant authorities.
