United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, Volker Türk, will undertake an official visit to Sri Lanka from June 23 to 26, 2025. This marks the fourth visit to the country by a UN Human Rights Chief.
During his stay, Türk is expected to meet with President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya, senior government ministers, Members of Parliament, and judicial leaders. He will also engage with religious figures, civil society representatives, UN agencies, and members of the diplomatic community.
