A situation has arisen in which about 6,000 candidates who appeared in the last general election will be brought before courts on charges of not providing expense reports.
According to the election law, the reports should be provided within three weeks of the election, but it has been revealed that only 1,985 candidates have provided these reports so far.
The deadline to submit these reports is today (6th) at midnight. The Election Commission has indicated that judicial action against candidates who have not provided the reports can result in imprisonment of up to three years.
