In the new government, President Anura Kumara Dissanayake will hold the Defense, Finance, Planning, Economic Development, and Digital Economy portfolios in the Presidential Media Division.
The swearing-in of new government ministers took place at 10.00 a.m. today (18), and 21 elected members of parliament were sworn in as ministers.
Dr. Harini Amarasuriya was sworn in as the Prime Minister and the Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Vocational Education.
Accordingly, the National People’s Power government has appointed a cabinet of 22 ministers, including the president.
