Israel launched direct strikes against Iran today (26) morning, bringing the military tension in the Middle East back to the offensive stage.
Israel has announced that it carried out airstrikes on 7 identified military targets located in Tehran, the capital of Iran.
The attacks were carried out almost a month later in retaliation for the 180 missiles fired by Iran at Israel on the 1st.
The attack, which has now concluded, raises fears that a long-running confrontation between the two powerful militaries could escalate into a wider regional war.
