An article in ‘Lankadeepa’ states that according to an audit report, around 4,000 government vehicles have gone missing.
This was reported in the newspaper’s main news release today (28). Vehicles belonging to the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Health, Department of Posts, Department of Irrigation, and Presidential Secretariat have gone missing in this manner.
The National Audit Office has started a special audit on this yesterday (27).
