President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has appointed Senior Deputy Inspector General of Police Priyantha Weerasuriya as the Acting Inspector General of Police by the powers assigned to the President by the Constitution.
The appointment letter was presented to SDIG Priyantha Weerasuriya by the Presidential Secretary, Dr Nandika Kumanayake, today (27) at the Presidential Office.
