Sources say that parliament officials had to make much effort to get the declarations of assets from the MPs who had not given them. Five consecutive reminder letters were sent to the MPs, asking them to immediately hand over the declarations of assets and liabilities.
After sending reminder letters, 169 MPs submitted asset and liability statements.
According to sources, all the asset-liability declarations submitted by the members have already been handed over to the Commission to Investigate Bribery and Corruption, which will decide what action to take against the members who submitted the declarations late.
Every Member of Parliament must hand over their assets and liabilities to the Speaker before June 30th.
It is further said that the three National People’s Power MPs had handed over the related asset and liability declarations at the right time.
