Jalani – Sajith salons

It is revealed that employees of the State Engineering Corporation were assigned to the work of the “Jal” beauty parlour owned by Jalani Premadasa, the wife of Samagi Jana Balavegaya leader Sajith Premadasa and have been paid salaries of millions with public money.
The relevant information has been disclosed in an internal audit report of the State Engineering Corporation. It further states that the beauty parlour owned by Jalani Prelamadasa was started in the year 2018. The audit report has revealed that the salons were run on the fourth floor of Shangri-La Hotel in Colombo as well as in Maitland Crescent, Colombo.
A security guard of the engineering corporation assigned for work at Jalani Premadasa’s Salon was given a motorcycle and a fuel allowance of 10,000 rupees and allowances including overtime also had been paid. At the time, the State Engineering Corporation was under the Ministry of Housing and Construction and Sajith Premadasa was the minister.
