Jalani’s friend to Hirunika’s place – Sajith’s group flares-up

According to various media reports, with the 3-year prison sentence given to Hirunika Premachandra, the National Organizer of the Women’s Organization of Samagi Jana Balawegaya and based on several issues, the internal conflicts of Sajith Premadasa’s party have flared up in new round.
The primary reason for these conflicts is the preparation of Jalani Preamadasa’s closest friend from the Moratuwa region for the active role held by Hirunika Premacandra. Meanwhile, it is also reported that after Hirunika Premachandra was sentenced to prison, Sajith Praemadasa did not make a phone call to comfort anyone, including her mother or husband. Instead, it is revealed that the task was assigned to an official of the opposition leader’s office.
Meanwhile, the key officials of Sajith’s team have stated that a group of leadership level should take time every day to see Hirunika Premachandra’s well-being. However, it is further reported that Sajith Premadasa has given a silent response to that idea. Instead, the team’s leadership has been informed to look for suitable lawyers to file an appeal on behalf of Hirunika.
In a telephone conversation between Ranjan Ramanayake and Hirunika Premachandral some time back, Hirunika criticized Premadasa. The audio tape was released on social media before the 2019 presidential election, and it was alleged that Sajith Premadasa used it to cut Hirunika Premachandra’s preference votes in the 2020 election.
