It is reported that Sajith has once again planned to enter into an agreement with 12 MPs of the Pohottu party who are united with Prey Madasa.
Samagi Jana Balavega General Secretary Ranjith Madduma Bandara has disclosed this to Lankadeepa newspaper. A group of councillors who left the Pohottu party and joined Sajith Premadasa occasionally signed various agreements and appeared in the media.
The Parliament, which will convene on July 2nd and 03rd, is scheduled to debate the postponement of foreign bilateral debt repayment agreements. Ranil Wickramasinghe’s faction has planned to hold a vote at the end of the debate. Various measures have been taken to prevent the MPs, already with Sajith Premadasa, from voting in favour of Ranil Wickramasinghe. One of its moves has been signing these agreements.
