The Department of Meteorology says some places in Sabaragamuwa province and Kandy and Nuwara Eliya districts may experience rains exceeding 150 mm.
Also, some places in the Western and North-Western Provinces as well as Mannar, Galle, and Matara districts may experience rainfall exceeding 100 mm.
In the rest of the island, rain or thundershowers may occur in places.
The prevailing wind conditions throughout the island will also be in the range of 30 to 60 kmph.
The current rain and wind conditions can be expected further.
