According to reports, Ranil Wickramasinghe has asked a Buddhist priest closest to him to find out all the auspicious times related to running for the upcoming presidential election.
The priest has been assigned to find a package of auspicious times. The package includes selecting a charmed party to contest the presidential election, selecting a few lucky days to sign the candidate application form and hand over nominations, choosing a suitable city to start the campaign rally, and proposing an auspicious time to start the rally.
Ranil Wickremesinghe is banking on a non-party common candidate strategy to secure a win. To further bolster his campaign, international advertising companies have also been selected for the campaign
