A meeting between the Russian Communist Party and the Janatha Vimukthi Peramuna was held yesterday (20th) afternoon at the Janata Vimukthi Peramuna’s head office.
Vijitha Herath, Member of the JVP Political Bureau and Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, Member of the Central Committee, participated on behalf of the JVP. The Russian Communist Party was represented by Hugaen Ruslan, the first spokesman of the Central Committee of the party, and Klemenov Ilyay, Vice President of its Central Committee.
The two groups discussed the current political situation in the two countries and agreed to expand relations between the two parties.
