Ranil Wickramasinghe has started publicly attacking the Rajapaksas by giving cabinet ministerial posts to a group of MPs elected from the Pohottu Party in the last general election.
Yesterday (9th), President Ranil Wickremesinghe publicly announced this attack in Parliament. He said, “You are the ones who say not to give in to Rajapaksas. I am being criticized even when I work accordingly. I am telling the story that was told in the cabinet.”
Prime Minister Dinesh Gunawardena is also in this cabinet. If the cabinet ministers declared not to submit to the Rajapaksas, as President Ranil Wickremesinghe says, it is clear that Dinesh Gunawardena also approved that statement.
President Ranil Wickremesinghe is preparing for the presidential election by gathering ministers from Pohottu around him. This statement has confirmed that he has started attacking the Rajapaksas as well.
