It is reported that the farmers, who are engaged in a struggle to save 65,000 acres of paddy fields fed by the Udawalawa Reservoir, will file a complaint with the Human Rights Commission today(7th).
Commenting on this, Namal Karunaratne, the National Organizer of the All Ceylon Farmers’ Federation, said that the complaint will be filed today at 11.30 am.
For about 14 days, Udawalawa farmers have been engaged in a ”hartal” demanding water for their plantations.
