President Ranil Wickremesinghe has once again issued a special gazette making electricity, fuel and health essential services.
Accordingly, all services relating to the supply of electric power, the supply or distribution of petroleum products and fuel, the maintenance and taking in of patients in hospitals and nursing homes, dispensaries and other similar institutions and all services of any description necessary or to be performed in connection with the care, feeding and treatment have been declared as essential services.
