The question is whether those who bankrupted the country can rebuild it – Mahendra Jayasekara

Mr Mahendra Jayasekara, President of the Colombo Youth Men’s Buddhist Association, emphasizes that there is a problem whether the people who have bankrupted the country can rebuild it.
He also points out that the people should be alert because the IMF has given loans to those who bankrupted the country.
He says that the people should not be happy about getting IMF loans but should breathe a sigh of relief that those suffering from the loans have a chance to breathe.
He says that passing bills and bringing new economic policies is not a solution to the current economic crisis and that those who passed the Financial Responsibility Assurance Act in 2003 suddenly remembered it after 20 years.
He emphasized this in a special press conference held by small and medium enterprises in Colombo yesterday (24th).
