The Election Commission has submitted a complaint to the Police Computer Crime Investigation Division to investigate the spread of false propaganda on social media by a person working in the Presidential Media Division.
The written complaint submitted by the Election Commission states that the concerned person has spread false propaganda in violation of the election law through ‘WhatsApp’ network.
The complaint was filed by an Additional Election Commissioner of the Election Commission based on a complaint made by the Election Violence Monitoring Centre.
