One thousand four hundred police officers from several areas have been called to Colombo on special duty on the orders of the IGP.
The IGP’s orders in this regard state that the special duty has been assigned from yesterday (15th) to the 20th. They have been asked to bring all the other official uniforms, including uniform No. 02, with batons, helmets, raincoats etc.
All those summoned have been ordered to gather at the Mirihana Police Stadium under the DIG in charge of Western and Southern Provinces.
