God has damned those who took power through conspiracies – Cardinal

Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith, Archbishop of Colombo, says that God has cursed those who came to power through conspiracies.
He said this while participating in a protest held in Katuwapitiya to protest against the failure to find justice for the Easter attack and the failure to address the demands of the people in the country. The protest was organized by the fishing community and the area’s residents.
Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith said, “We cannot forget the most devastating bloodshed in Sri Lanka. When the government in power today contested the election, they used that incident to the fullest. That day itself, we realized that there could be a conspiracy behind this catastrophe. Now it is being revealed to us who the conspirators are. Those conspirators seized power, but they cannot defend that power. The curse of God has fallen on them.
Seizing power has come to nothing now as they do not know how to use and control power properly. The Presidential Commission proposed to implement several decisions. Nevertheless,, most of those decisions have not been implemented to date, and only Muslims have been blamed for the act. All the other forces behind it are trying to hide now. Therefore, a curse has fallen on them today.
The Attorney General has become a slave to this system. As a result, there is no room for lawlessness in our country today.”
