Mahinda Rajapaksa and Maithripala Sirisena destroyed the SLFP she formed, and former President Maithripala Sirisena, the Sri Lanka Freedom Party chairman, should be expelled from the SLFP for joining the SLPP, says former President Chandrika Kumaratunga.
She says that Maithripala Sirisena did not listen to her request for two years not to join the SLPP as the SLFP would be destroyed, and she was removed from the party’s political bureau and organizing committee due to that request.
The former president emphasizes that Maithripala Sirisena is now saying what she has been saying for two years.
She says that even during the war, she managed the country’s economy correctly, and when looking at the country today, she doesn’t know whether to cry or laugh.
