While the Rajapaksa family owns 70% to 75% of the state administration, including the economy, politics and the handling of public funds, when people suffer due to this injustice, the blame is put on the ministers who act as Rajapaksas pantry men, says JVP National Organizer Bimal Ratnayake.
He said this speaking at a media briefing convened at the party head office today (21st) in protest of the government’s decision to increase fuel prices unjustly from midnight yesterday.
He further said that despite the declining fuel prices in the world market, the fuel prices are increased unjustly and called on the public not to accept unjustified price hikes, including fuel price hikes, but to raise their voices against it.
