Energy Minister Udaya Gammanpila says there is no demand for the Sapugaskanda oil refinery as it is more than 50 years old.
As such, steps would be taken to reopen it, he said.
Minister Gammanpila states that no one has taken any steps to sell the Sapugaskanda oil refinery and that there are no plans to sell the oil refinery.
However, he emphasized that maintaining the oil refinery was an issue.
