Registrar of Pesticides Dr. J.A. Sumith has been removed from his post with immediate effect fas a result of a gazette notification lifting the ban on five types of pesticides, including glyphosate, which had been banned for seven years.
The media unit of the Minister of Agriculture confirmed this in a statement.
