Arrest politician immediately – All schools in Manawella closed – Teachers surround police station

Teachers and Principals of all schools in Mawanella area engaged in strike action to protest against the failure of Mawanella police to arrest Mawanella Pradeshiya Sabha Deputy Chairman KG Piyatissa. He is accused of breaking into the Hingula Mederigama Maha Vidyalaya in the Mawanella Education Zone on the 3rd, threatening teachers and parents and assaulting teachers.
All teachers of the Mawanella Pradeshiya Sabha are protesting in front of the Mawanella Police, demanding the immediate arrest of the Deputy Chairman of the Mawanella Pradeshiya Sabha KG Piyatissa.
