‘Sacrifices’ commence spending Rs. 62 million!

Approval has been given to the proposal submitted by the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka to allocate Rs. Sixty-two million for the renovation of the premises it occupies.
The letter of approval states that the money would be used to remove furniture from the BOI office located on the 24th floor of the World Trade Center West Building in Colombo and purchase new furniture, carpets, and partitions.
Economic experts say that the Board of Investment of Sri Lanka under President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa, who told the people to “be prepared to sacrifice” and declared a curfew for ten days, has set a “sacrifice example” at the top by spending Rs. Sixty-two million to renovate a wing of a building.
