It is reported that Minister of State for Anti – Corona Dr Sudarshani Prananadupulle did not attend the meeting convened by President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa to decide whether or not to close the country in the face of the Corona expansion.
At the meeting attended by Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi, State Minister Channa Jayasumana, State Minister Sisira Jayakody, Dr Prasanna Gunasena and Army Commander Shavendra Silva the President has emphasized that ‘the country will never be shut down.’
He had said that the people should be encouraged to abide by the health laws.
However, addressing the media two days before the meeting, Minister of State for Corona Suppression Dr Sudarshani Fernandopulle said that her opinion was not important in the corona suppression process.
“Decision makers make decisions. But people be careful,” she had said.
