Gotabaya Rajapaksa’s ‘Pohotuwa’ government has set up a tax fraud of Rs. 25,000 million states Voice Against Corruption (VAC).
the 08th fraud in the list of top ten frauds named by Mahindananda Aluthgamage, Udaya Gammanpila and others during the reigns of Maithripala Sirisena, Ranil Wickremesinghe and Sajith Primadada is to be brought up as a cabinet paer no. 2021/065 at the cabinet meeting by Mr Mahinda Rajapaksa as the Finance Minister states Convener of the Voice Against Corruption Wasantha Samarasinghe. He revealed this at a media briefing held yesterday (27th).
Mr Wasantha Samarasinghe revealed that the Cabinet is preparing to approve a tax evasion racket of around Rs. 25,000 million by allowing to import disassembled vehicle parts from Japan and assembling them as new vehicles in Sri Lanka.
