The Governor of the Central Province has come up with a new tactic to get rid of the severe allegation levelled against the government for mobilizing large numbers of people to hold spring festivals in Nuwara Eliya.
Central Province Governor Attorney-at-Law Lalith U.Gamage said at the inaugural ceremony that the spring festival would be held from April 1st to 30th in accordance with the health guidelines. The Spring Festival kicked off with various competitions participated by local and foreign tourists.
However, in the wake of the seriousness of the third wave of corona and the government being severely criticized for not being able to subdue the situation, various facts are being circulated to confirm that this spring festival was designed to embarrass the government.
