A meeting between Chinese Defense Minister General Wei Fenghe, who is on a two day official visit to Sri Lanka, and President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa took place at the Presidential Secretariat today (28th).
The Chinese Defense Minister was welcomed by the Secretary to the President PB Jayasundera and Foreign Secretary Admiral Jayanath Colombage Dissanayake at the Presidential Secretariat.
The Chinese Defense Minister Commenting said that the bilateral talks between President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and himself were very fruitful and that the relations between the two countries were further strengthened due to his visit.
Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka Qi Zhenhong, Deputy Chief of Staff and Director General of International Affairs of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the Chinese People’s Army Lieutenant General Zhao Yangmin, Maj. Gen. Ci Guowei and Secretary to the President PB Jayasundera joined the bilateral discussion.
