It has been revealed that in the last two months of January and February, a very small income of around US $ 7 million has been received from tourists, including Ukrainian tourists, who have been brought to Sri Lanka with great publicity.
This is revealed by the latest reports of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka. With the full support of all government leaders, including the President, Udayanga Weeratunga brought in Ukrainian tourists stating it would revive Sri Lanka’s tourism industry.
There was a great deal of controversy in the country about bringing Ukrainian tourists, and the total revenue earned by all tourists who visited the country during the last two months was US$ 7 million – US$ 2 million in January and US$ 5 million in February.
