Currently, a third wave of covid is spreading across the country. Covid patients are being found from different areas, and many of them are being identified in association with the hospital system.
At the first and second covid rallies and at this moment, the covid patients are directly confronted by the medical staff, including the nurses. We know that some health authorities have forgotten the sacrifices made by the nursing staff in coronary artery disease during and after the first Covid wave.
While it is true that the wrong policies and decisions of the government caused the third wave of covid, we still do not see that they are working to rectify those shortcomings.
Over the past few months, the government and health authorities have cut down on special leave the staff were able to get and other essential equipment, including PPE, which has been provided to health staff.
It has been announced that the service leave given to the staff and the special leave will end on April 30.
Today, a large number of health workers, including nurses, are infected with corona in the country’s hospital system. By 25.04.2021, the covid virus had infected another group, including 7 nurses in the Intensive Care Unit of the Trincomalee Hospital. A group of health staff, including a nurse at Sri Lanka National Hospital have been infected with covid.
Complaints also being received from Hospitals about the safety measures taken by health authorities against patients identified as corona. The irresponsible referral of a patient identified as a corona infected person from Kotelawala Defense Academy to Kalubowila Teaching Hospital on the 23rd has caused several severe problems at the Kalubowila Hospital. Also, two patients with coronavirus were admitted to the Kalubowila Hospital on April 25 as normal patients as private hospitals they had been receiving treatment failed to notify KH that they had been identified as covid infected by PCR tests.

පළමු හා දෙවන කොවිඩ් රැලිවල දී මෙන්ම මේ මොහොතේ දී ද කොවිඩ් රෝගීන් හා සෘජුව ගැටෙමින් කටයුතු කරනුයේ හෙද හෙදියන් ඇතුලූ සෞඛ්යජ කාර්ය මණ්ඩලයයි. පළමු කොවිඩ් රැල්ලේ දීත් ඉන්පසුවද හෙද කාර්ය මණ්ඩලය කොරෝනා මර්ධනයෙහි ලා කළ කැපකිරීම් සමහර සෞඛ්ය බලධාරීන්ට අමතකව ඇතිබව අප දනිමු.
තෙවන කොවිඩ් රැල්ල ඇතිවීමට ආණ්ඩුවේ වැරදි ප්රතතිපත්ති හා තීරණ හේතු වූ බව සත්යර වුවද තවමත් එම අඩුපාඩු නිවැරදි කිරීමට ඔවුන් කටයුතු කරන බවක් අප පෙනෙන්නට නැත.
ආණ්ඩුවත් සෞඛ්යන බලධාරීණුත් පසුගිය මාස කිහිපයතුළ සෞඛ්යී කාර්ය මණ්ඩල වලට ලබාදෙමින් තිබූ PPE ඇතුලූ අනෙකුත් අත්යයවශ්යබ උපකරණ මෙන්ම කාර්ය මණ්ඩල ලබා ගනිමින් සිට් විශේෂ නිවාඩුද කප්පාදු කර දමන ලදි. සෞඛ්ය
කාර්ය මණ්ඩලවලට ලබා දුන් සේවා මුරක්රාමය මෙන්ම විශේෂ නිවාඩු ද අප්රේණල් මස 30 වන දිනෙන් අවසන් කරණ බව දැණුම් දී තිබේ.
අද වන විට මෙරට රෝහල් පද්ධතිය තුළ හෙද හෙදියන් ඇතුලූ සෞඛ්ය කාර්ය මණ්ඩලවල විශාල පිරිසකට කොරෝනා ආසාධනය වී තිබේ. 2021.04.25 වන විට ත්රිුකුණාමලය රෝහලේ දැඩිසත්කාර ඒකකයේ හෙද නිළධාරීන් 07 දෙනෙකු ඇතුලූ තවත් පිරිසකට කොවිඩ් වෛරසය ආසාදනය වී තිබේ. ශ්රීක ලංකා ජාතික රෝහලේ ද හෙද සොහොයුරියක් ඇතුලූ සෞඛ්ය කාර්ය මණ්ඩලයේ පිරිසකට කොවිඩ් වැල දී තිබේ.
එසේම සෞඛ්ය බලධාරීන් කොරෝනා බවට හදුනාගන්නා රෝගීන් පිළිබඳව ගනු ලබන ආරක්ෂිත ක්රි යාමාර්ග සම්බන්ධයෙන්ද රෝහල් වලින් පැමිණිලි ලැබෙමින් තිබේ. පසුගිය 23වන දින කළුබොවිල ශීක්ෂණ රෝහලට කොතලාවල
ආරක්ෂක විද්යාකපීඨ රෝහලෙන් කොරෝනා බවට හදුනාගත් රෝගියකු කිසිදු වගකීමකින් තොරව යොමු කිරීම නිසා කළුබෝවිල රෝහලේ දැඩි ගැටලූ ගණනාවක් ඇති කිරීමට හේතු වී තිබේ. එසේම පෞද්ගලික රෝහල් වලින් PCR පරීක්ෂණ කර කොවිඩ් බවට හදුනාගන්නා රෝගීන් නිසි ක්රතම වේදයකට ප්රරතිකාර සඳහා යොමු නොකිරීම නිසා කොරෝනා අසාධිතයින් දෙදෙනකු අපේර ේ ල් 25 දින කළුබෝවිල රෝහලට සාමාන්ය රෝගීන් ලෙසින් ඇතුලත්වී තිබේ.
පසුගිය මාස කිහිපය තුළ නිහඩව සිටි සෞඛ්යෙ බළධාරීන් මෙන්ම කොරෝනා පාලන මධ්යයස්ථානයද කොරෝනාව අද ඊයේ රටට ඇතුලූ වූ වෛරසයක් සේ සිතා මහත් කළබලයෙන් කටයුතු කරන ආකාරයක් අපට පෙනෙන්නට තිබේ. කෙසේ
වුවද මේ වන විට පැතිරෙමින් ඇත්තේ ඉතා බරපතල කොරෝනා වෛරස් පරවන භේදයක් බව ඉතා පැහැදිලිය.
එබැවින් මතුවෙමින් ඇති අනතුරට මුහුණ දීමේ දී ඊට සෘජුවම සම්බන්ධව කටයුතු කරන හෙද හෙදියන් ඇතුලූ සෞඛ්යද කාර්ය මණ්ඩලවලට ආරක්ෂිතව රෝගීන්ගේ ප්ර්තිකාර කටයුතුවල නියැලීමට අවශ්යව සියලූ උපකරණ හිගයකින් තොරව රෝහල් පද්ධතියට ලබා දීමට කටයුතු කිරීම ආණ්ඩුවේත් සෞඛ්ය් බළධාරීන්ගේත් වගකීම බව අප පෙන්වා දෙමු.
තවද සෞඛ්ය කාර්ය මණ්ඩල සේවයේ යෙදවීමේ දී මීට පෙර අවස්ථාවල අනුගමන කළ අයුරින් ක්රසමවත් රාජකාරී සැලැස්මක් හා සේවකයන්ට ප්රගවාහන පහසුකම්ද සහිතව ඔවුන්ව සේවයේ යෙදවීමට ආණ්ඩුව කටයුතු කළහොත් පැතිරෙමින් පවතින #කොරෝනා වසංගතය පාලනයේ දී සෞඛ්යැ කාර්ය මණ්ඩලයට වඩා පහසුවක් සහිතව කටයුතු කිරීමට හැකිවනු ඇති බව පෙන්වා දීමට කැමැත්තෙමු.
