Director General of Pensions, D. Dias has revealed to the media that an additional sum of around one billion rupees was needed to end the salary anomalies of pensioners who retired in 2016. However, the Director General has revealed that no provision has been made in the budget for this purpose.
Meanwhile, it has already been confirmed that the government is not prepared to address the issue of salary anomalies of around 660,000 pensioners.
