Recently, while participating in a private channel program, a girl revealed facts about the environmental destruction taking place at the Sinharaja reserve boundary.
Currently, state media and pro-government activists on social media are launching massive mudslinging and slanderous campaign involving the girl who made the revelation.
They say that there was no deforestation of the kind mentioned by the girl and that what she said was completely untrue and that the Minister of Wildlife and Forest Conservation CB Ratnayake and a group of officials too are aware of it.
