{"id":29342,"date":"2026-08-29T22:12:57","date_gmt":"2026-08-29T16:42:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lankatruth.com\/en\/?p=29342"},"modified":"2026-08-29T23:33:01","modified_gmt":"2026-08-29T18:03:01","slug":"investigation-against-manusha-nanayakkara-concluded-ciaboc-informs-court","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lankatruth.com\/en\/?p=29342","title":{"rendered":"Investigation Against Manusha Nanayakkara Concluded: CIABOC Informs Court"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) informed the Colombo Magistrate&#8217;s Court today (August 28) that it has concluded its investigation against former Minister Manusha Nanayakkara regarding alleged corruption in sending workers to Israel under the previous government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The matter was called before Colombo Chief Magistrate Asanga S. Bodaragama.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Officials representing CIABOC informed the court that the investigation files involving Nanayakkara have been finalized and submitted to the Bribery Commission&#8217;s Commissioners for final decision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Requesting a date to notify the court of future legal proceedings, CIABOC officials asked for an adjournment. Considering the submissions, Chief Magistrate Bodaragama ordered the case to be recalled on December 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The investigation was initiated following allegations that former Minister Nanayakkara abused his official position to commit corruption by selectively choosing political loyalists for agricultural employment opportunities in Israel during
