Manori Salle, the wife of retired Major General Suresh Salle\u2014former head of the State Intelligence Service (SIS)\u2014has written to President Anura Kumara Dissanayake requesting that her husband\u2019s detention order not be extended further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Suresh Salle is currently held under a detention order in connection with the ongoing investigations into the brutal Easter Sunday terror attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In her letter submitted on the 20th, Manori Salle stated that her husband is fully cooperating with the investigation. She requested that the authorities refrain from issuing new detention orders and instead remand him under judicial supervision.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Currently, Suresh Salle is being held under strict supervision by judicial officials and medical doctors\u2014an exceptional arrangement not extended to any other individual previously detained under similar detention orders.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Meanwhile, a separate group recently gathered at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute to conduct a special discussion aiming to project a different narrative regarding Suresh Salle. However, following a media operation involving his wife, son, and brother, the group subsequently abandoned their efforts.<\/p>\n
