petition filed by former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, which seeks an order preventing his arrest and detention in connection with the ongoing investigations into the Easter Sunday terror attacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Accordingly, the Court of Appeal announced that the decision on whether or not to grant leave to proceed with the petition will be delivered on September 22.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Furthermore, the bench directed both the petitioners and respondents to submit their written submissions, if any, on or before August
