The CID has informed the Colombo Fort Magistrate\u2019s Court that over\u00a0<strong>Rs. 1 billion in public funds<\/strong>\u00a0were spent on these official visits from 2022 to 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2022, 63 people joined the President on four foreign trips, costing nearly Rs. 130 million. The number surged in 2023 with 252 people taken on 14 trips, spending close to Rs. 580 million.
