{"id":26087,"date":"2024-07-14T11:55:13","date_gmt":"2024-07-14T06:25:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lankatruth.com\/en\/?p=26087"},"modified":"2024-07-18T01:01:13","modified_gmt":"2024-07-17T19:31:13","slug":"footnote-gangs-are-in-operation-again","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lankatruth.com\/en\/?p=26087","title":{"rendered":"&#8216;Footnote&#8217; gangs are in operation again!"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It has been revealed that a complaint has been made to the Speaker against the report issued by the State Finance Committee regarding the transfer of\u00a0the Immigration Department&#8217;s\u00a0visa and passport issuance to a foreign company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The committee chairman, Dr. Harsha de Silva, handed over the report to Parliament on the 12th, and the footnote gang of the Pohottu party and Vajira Abeywardena of the United National Party have complained to the Speaker that they did not give their approval to the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In this regard, serious suspicions have been raised that the politicians have received a commission of at least 200 million dollars.
