Due to the continuous pressure on the people by President Ranil Wickremesinghe and the Pohottu coalition government, work in 400 government hospitals has collapsed, and 5,000 doctors are getting ready to leave the country states Government Medical Officers Association.

Meanwhile, Dr Haritha Aluthge, Secretary of the Government Medical Officers’ Association, warns that there is a danger that at least 400 hospitals will be crippled because more than 5,000 more doctors will soon leave the country and that if these problems are not resolved, they will take trade union action from January 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
