A large number of young people were present.<br \/>Young people had come from all parts of the island to participate in a cultural festival and listen to a commemorative speech delivered by the JVP and NPP Leader Anura Dissanayake. A number of exhibition booths had been built for public display depicting various stages of the revolutionary life of Ernest Che Guevara.<br \/>Ernest Che Guevara was executed in Bolivia on October 8, 1967, by a conspiracy initiated by the American CIA.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><a
