{"id":15252,"date":"2021-08-25T20:19:51","date_gmt":"2021-08-25T14:49:51","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lankatruth.com\/en\/?p=15252"},"modified":"2024-05-14T08:56:30","modified_gmt":"2024-05-14T03:26:30","slug":"heres-the-latest-peoples-relief-cut","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lankatruth.com\/en\/?p=15252","title":{"rendered":"Here&#8217;s the latest people&#8217;s relief cut"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A circular signed by Anton Perera, Joint Secretary of the Presidential Task Force on Economic Revitalization and Poverty Alleviation, yesterday (24th) reveals the government&#8217;s latest cuts of people&#8217;s benefits.<br \/>This circular instructs that the dry food bags worth Rs. 10,000 \/ &#8211; provided to the quarantined families since the onset of the Corona epidemic in Sri Lanka should be distributed only to low-income families hereafter.<br \/>The distribution of this food item bag started before the last parliamentary election, and unofficially, it has not been given to many quarantined families since then. It is noteworthy that this relief has been officially cut by the Presidential Task Force on Economic Recovery and Poverty Alleviation.
