{"id":14861,"date":"2021-08-01T10:48:14","date_gmt":"2021-08-01T05:18:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lankatruth.com\/en\/?p=14861"},"modified":"2024-05-14T10:52:09","modified_gmt":"2024-05-14T05:22:09","slug":"what-happened-to-the-huge-sum-of-rs-450000-million","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lankatruth.com\/en\/?p=14861","title":{"rendered":"What happened to the huge sum of Rs 450,000 million?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is revealed that more than Rs. 20,000 million has been allocated through a supplementary estimate for the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Home Affairs for this year although approximately Rs. 450,000 million was allocated from the budget three months ago.<br \/>According to the Budget Estimate 2021, the Ministry of Defense has been allocated Rs. 31,680 million for recurrent expenditure and Rs. 3,835 million for its capital expenditure. Accordingly, Rs. 35,495 million has been allocated for this Ministry. Also, Rs. 13,082 million has been allocated for the recurrent expenditure of the then Ministry of Internal Security and Rs. 2,165 million for the capital expenditure of that Ministry. Accordingly, a total of Rs. 16,247 million had been allocated for the Ministry. The total allocation for the two ministries was Rs. 51,742 million.<br \/>Approximately Rs. 450,000 has been allocated to the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Home Affairs. An additional sum of nearly Rs. 20,000 million was allocated on March 22 by a supplementary estimate.
