{"id":14174,"date":"2021-06-16T11:00:44","date_gmt":"2021-06-16T05:30:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/lankatruth.com\/en\/?p=14174"},"modified":"2021-06-16T11:00:46","modified_gmt":"2021-06-16T05:30:46","slug":"submit-to-court-audio-recordings-related-to-the-ship-captain-requests","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/lankatruth.com\/en\/?p=14174","title":{"rendered":"Submit to court audio recordings related to the ship &#8211; Captain requests"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">President&#8217;s Counsel Sarath Jayamanne, appearing for the Captain of the suspected ship, has requested the court to produce radio data on conversations conducted by the Ports Authority regarding the ship &#8220;Express Pearl&#8221; which caught fire in Sri Lankan waters.<br \/>When the magisterial inquiry into the incident was called before Colombo Additional Magistrate Lochani Abeywickrema yesterday (15), the Magistrate ordered the CID to report regarding the matter the Counsel representing the Captain of the ship has referred to court as soon as possible.<br \/>Earlier, the media had reported that the ship&#8217;s Captain had stated that there was no adequate intervention by the relevant authorities in the country when the fire broke out in the ship.
