\u201cIt has been almost 17 months since the President came to power. The government with a 2\/3rd majority has been in power for more than 08 months. What was promised to the people during the Presidential and General Elections, what the people expected and justice to the victims is still a mirage. The ball is being passed in different directions. The commission appointed by the President had been passing the ball for about 1 1\/2 years. Since the commission report has been submitted to the Attorney General, it is said that the Attorney General has everything in his hands. They say the government will not interfere in the work of the Attorney General. It is said that the judicial process is independent. Instead of thinking about the independence of the judiciary, various commissions are set up to release criminals and fraudsters and the issue is attributed to the Attorney General.
Minister Sarath Weerasekera, in charge of the police, had stated that the mastermind behind this incident was Naufer Mawlavi and that he was already in custody.
